About the role We are offering multiple full-time and part time Procurement Officer roles, with hours ranging from 19 to 38 per week. In this position, you will support the delivery of compliant, efficient and value‑for‑money procurement outcomes across the City. Working with a range of business units, you will help source goods and services, establish panels and contracts, and strengthen procurement and contract administration practices. These newly created roles support the rollout of a centralised procurement function and provide an exciting opportunity to help shape how procurement and contract administration are delivered across the organisation. What you’ll bring to the role
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, tendering and contract administration, ideally in the local government context.
- Knowledge of procurement legislation, policies, and best practices within local government.
- Strong analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in procurement systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement. Pre‑employment requirements
- Current C Class Driver’s Licence.
- National Police Clearance (less than six months old).
- Proof of right to work in Australia.
