The School Byford Secondary College (SC) is a newer school in Perth’s southern suburbs. We have first class facilities to support high quality teaching and learning programs in our college. Located approximately 30 kilometres from the Perth CBD, our College caters for 1500 students in Years 7 through to 12. We offer a unique setting to many other metropolitan schools, with a blend of urban and rural students; this creates a vibrant mix of students and staff within the college community. The successful applicant will support and report directly to the Student Services Managers. The Year Coordinator role will ideally require the applicant to be a motivated, dedicated and effective team member who has exceptional interpersonal skills and will be proactive in implementing intervention strategies and work successfully with external stakeholders to collaboratively support student academic and health and wellbeing outcomes. Members of the Student Hub Team provide educational leadership in the college and community. They promote the school vision and facilitate evidence‑based improvement strategies targeting student behaviour, attendance and academic performance, in line with the 2025‑2027 College Business Plan. The Student Hub team supports the development of a safe, positive and caring learning environment to improve student outcomes. They are focussed on supporting student success through a positive approach to student health and wellbeing. The team is instrumental in building a positive college culture for students, staff and parents. Byford SC has been a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) school since 2021. Experience with PBS knowledge and experience is highly regarded, as the successful applicant should also lead the PBS team and whole‑school initiatives at the college.
