Smart Energy is committed to bringing affordable energy solutions to Australian homes. Installing 120 systems a week, nationally, we are one of the country’s largest residential solar retailers and a licensed energy retailer.

This role is full-time and based in our Byron Bay office.

**What you'll be doing in the role**:

- Core to this role is supporting the operations function to provide all the stock they need to complete a successful install on time
- Achieving the most competitive pricing across warehouse and transport providers
- Ensuring freight movements occur on time and accurately
- Troubleshooting when things don't go as planned, then implementing improvements so issues don't reoccur
- Managing stock in 3PL warehouses (damage, returns, pickup and transfers)
- Develop and maintain relationships with 3PL warehousing and freight partners
- Working closely with internal stakeholders to achieve the best and most efficient outcomes
- Problem-solving / Commercial acumen
- knowing when to make a decision and when to escalate
- Process improvement
- you will use data driven decisions to demonstrate what you are proposing before executing your ideas
- You will constantly strive to be creative and effective in your sourcing strategies.

**What we need from you**:

- At least 2 years experience in a similar (supply chain / logistics / procurement / inventory mgt) role within a similar business model
- Technically minded. Highly skilled with Google Sheets / Excel
- You must be tech savvy and enjoy solving problems with technology
- Accuracy, drive, resilience, excellent communication
- Ability to build personable relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders and enforce accountability.
- A strong sense of ownership
- Any experience in fast-paced or startup environments will be highly regarded
