We are looking for a reliable warehousing pick/packer who is focused on customer satisfaction and thrives on an organised and busy warehousing environment. You should be willing to work as part of an ambitious team to oversee the efficient receipt, storage, picking and packing, and management of all incoming/outgoing stock into the warehouse and fill in for drivers when needed. **The Role**
- Conduct and meticulously complete Opening and Close Down checklists, implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure operational compliance.
- Inspect products prior to picking for conformance and wholesomeness, referring any/query products to the manager immediately for further assessment.
- Perform lifting, weighing, labeling, gas flushing, cryovac packaging, and taping of food products, maintaining accurate batch number identification throughout the packaging process.
- Recommend and implement measures to enhance packaging systems, optimize equipment performance, and improve overall packaging quality.
- Manage stored inventory and data within the Fishbowl Inventory System, conduct daily stock level reviews (FIFO), and prepare accurate stock reconciliation reports.
- Compile, input, and package orders, generate customer invoices, and verify that all packed stock matches invoice details, ensuring every order includes the corresponding invoice copy.
- Assist in organizing an efficient delivery schedule and load delivery vehicles in preparation for dispatch.
- Approve and coordinate the printing of labels, maintaining batch number traceability and creating recent labels as needed.
- Conduct weekly and monthly cleaning of the cool room and associated areas in accordance with company cleaning policies.
- Provide driver duties when required, including vehicle inspections, efficient order deliveries, and obtaining proof of delivery.
- Ensure recycling and waste management practices are followed consistently in accordance with company policies.
- Support warehousing personnel as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operational workflow.
- Work collaboratively with all Salumi employees to maintain a harmonious and productive working environment.

**About YOU**:

- Valid NSW driver's license
- manual license required
- Clean driving record
- Medium level computer skills
- Prior inventory management experience
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability lift and carry heavy items for extended periods
- Forklift license preferred
- Attention to detail a must
- Team player with go to attitude

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $30.00
- $35.00 per hour
