- salary packaging We are looking for a full time Maintenance Officer to join our maintenance team at Patrick VC Gardens. This role will support and manage the team with labouring duties associated with general maintenance activities, ensuring the aged care home is always looking and operating at its very best. Responsibilities
- Work as part of an agile team to provide reactive and planned preventative maintenance
- Work to established best practice and maintain homes to the highest standard
- Work in a busy team workplace where no day is the same
- Work alongside contractors where relevant, ensuring all work is carried out to compliance requirements
- Carry out general maintenance and repairs, including patching and painting, replacing globes and all aspects of basic building maintenance
- Ensure all paperwork, documentation and system processes are adhered to Preferred Attributes
- Previous experience in a maintenance role; aged care preferable but not necessary
- Strong problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- A current NSW driver’s licence
- Computer skills
- Ability to interact with the elderly residents on a day‑to‑day basis
- Must have a valid RSL LifeCare Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent job requirements. Clearances must be verified prior to commencing employment with RSL LifeCare.
