Diesel mechanic / service technician (Caboolture)

About us AKM Earth has been operating for over 10 years across South East Queensland. We manage waste and recycling for the Construction Industry. Our group runs a fleet of 40+ trucks and over 2,500 bins. We believe in doing things properly — and that includes looking after our team. The role We need a reliable mechanic based in Caboolture. You will keep our trucks and earthmoving equipment running safely and on time. This is a hands-on role with plenty of variety. You will work 5 to 5 1/2 days per week with overtime available. What you will work on
- Heavy trucks — skip loaders, hook trucks, and tippers
- Earthmoving equipment used at our recycling and processing sites
- Scheduled servicing, repairs, and safety checks
- Diagnosing faults and getting machines back in service rapid Who we are looking for You may hold a diesel mechanic trade certificate — or you may not. What matters most is that you know what you are doing and you take pride in your work.
- Experience servicing and repairing heavy diesel equipment
- Able to work independently and manage your own workload
- Good at spotting problems before they become big ones
- Reliable, safety-conscious, and easy to work with
- Heavy vehicle licence is a bonus but not required What we offer
