Cairns Private Hospital is now hiring! Job Description Cairns Private Hospital is seeing a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join the Property Services team on a permanent part-time basis. In this role, you will undertake all assigned maintenance duties, including work related to general Hospital maintenance including planned and reactive maintenance. This role offers family-friendly daytime hours, making it well suited to candidates seeking school-hour work and a healthy work-life balance. Duties may include patching, plastering and painting, lighting maintenance, gutters, air conditioning, tiling, basic plumbing and other general repairs. You will be reporting to the Maintenance manager and working alongside preferred supplies, ensuring all work carried out by contractors is within the planned budget. About You:
- Be a positive and effective team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to develop relationships with colleagues and customers.
- Trade background is preferable
- You will have the ability to ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to and work is carried out in a tidy safe manner.
- You will be able to provide a comprehensive maintenance service that complies with legislative standards, corporate policy guidelines and approved Hospital budgets.
- Hold relevant trade qualification or certificate not essential but highly advantageous
- Be able to demonstrate maturity in the workplace to get the job done whilst also focusing on health and safety practices
- Have the ability to work on your own initiative and identify any areas for improvement that may be needed.
