**Sales Operational Planner**
- Full time, permanent position
- Work with our Veg Seeds team at Bayer
- Hybrid working, with office in Hawthorn
As a Sales Operational Planner in the Bayer Vegetable Seeds team, you will be accountable for developing Consensus Forecasts (CF) for the short-mind
- long term (0-60 months). Understanding the balance between demand and supply, you will confidently design and deliver accurate CF between different functional areas. You will be skilled at aligning CF to a growth business strategy and business portfolio cycle, where your work will play a critical role in demand signalling for all product support proposals and a base for setting financial goals and expectations.
You will be an expert Sales demand Planner or Product demand Planner, with experience in developing sales operational strategic plans to a customer and variety level, capturing opportunities, proactively identifying risks and ensuring financial targets are met.
**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:
- Drive and facilitate sales operational forecasting down to a customer level and demand planning processes in close collaboration with the sales team.
- Ensure timely and accurate updates and balance between demand and supply, identifying gaps and potential opportunities from a supply and demand point of view.
- Provide market insights through ongoing monitoring of trends and developments
- Deliver strategic analysis for set customer targets in close collaboration with the entire sales team
- Ensure connection of targets and forecast to the Account Planning Process
- Be the forecasting journey owner, who manages the end-to-end CF process, understanding demand signal, supply position and ensuring accuracy for stakeholders and product needs
- Continually monitor undisputed excess inventory and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities and generate sales
- Partner with Sales to understand and communicate market and business pressure impact to the three-year operational plan and recalibrate consensus forecast as required
- Lead sales target meetings and prepare review meeting data
- Support teams with KPIs and tools for monthly and quarterly follow ups and identify excess or slow-moving sales
- Prepare Budget mix by MK & Net Sales, based on the CF and aligned to ALT (AMPAC Leadership Team) guidelines
- Partner with commercial team to define customer targets as variety level and aligned to our financial commitments
- Generate POG (Product on Ground) calculation, identifying inconsistences and follow up with sales team, looking at ways to harmonize with Sell-in with Sell-out & channel inventory
**What we are looking for**
- Proven hands-on experience (minimum 3 years) in a supply or commercial planning role
- Intermediate to expert knowledge in consensus forecasting
- Ability to work effectively in a global team environment in a corporate matrix environment
- Be a strategic thinker, with the ability to provide data alignments to organisational objectives
- Strong communication and influencing skills
- Be able to confidently and concisely present data to executives
- Deliver robust sound recommendations based on data
- Resilience, and be comfortable having data and recommendations challenged
- Ability to assertively influence outcomes
- Passion for Horticulutre/Agriculture
