Job Description As the Assistant Accountant, you will support accurate and timely financial reporting across multiple entities. You'll gain exposure to:
- Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- General ledger maintenance and journal preparation
- Month‑end and year‑end processing
- BAS/IAS and compliance requirements
- Fixed asset registers and depreciation
- Budgeting and forecasting support
- Trust accounting and building financials
- Working with internal stakeholders, including operations and property teams
- Process improvements and ad hoc accounting tasks This is a high‑volume, fast‑paced role, particularly around month‑end, but you will be well supported by senior team members. The Successful Applicant You'll thrive here if you're someone who is:
- Detail‑oriented with strong reconciliation skills
- Curious, proactive, and eager to learn
- A strong communicator who can work across teams
- Able to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Comfortable with both structured processes and hands‑on tasks Experience & Skills
- 3-4 years in an accounting role (business services or property‑related experience ideal)
- Understanding of BAS, tax, and compliance processes
- Studying toward or interested in CA/CPA
- Strong Excel/Microsoft Office skills
- Exposure to ERPs such as Yardi or MYOB (highly regarded but not essential) What's on Offer
