Job Description

- Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Handle month-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Manage general ledger reconciliations and maintain financial records accurately.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support business planning.
- Coordinate and liaise with auditors during audits and resolve any queries.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiencies.
- Support the team with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have

- A degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualifications such as CA or CPA (or working towards).
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
- Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Experience in financial reporting and compliance.
