**Payroll Officer**

We have an exciting chance for a Payroll Officer to join our Payroll team on a full-time basis. The key to success within this position is the ability to be proactive, self-driven and competent in managing time effectively paired with the ability to be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of the business.

**About the role**

The Payroll Officer will work alongside the Payroll Coordinator to ensure the accurate and timely processing of Carrington’s fortnightly payroll, in addition (but not limited to) the following:

- Assist in the timely and accurate processing of the fortnightly payroll for all staff in accordance with the current Enterprise Agreements, contracts and company policies and procedures
- Ability to complete the full payroll function when Coordinator is on leave
- Ensure the company complies with its obligations under relevant employment law and current industrial instruments including remuneration changes such as salary changes and allowances
- Assist in calculation and payment of termination and redundancy payments
- Ensuring all leave entitlements are administered efficiently and recorded correctly
- Assist in the accurate and timely preparation of EOM & EOY payroll reports, and disbursements
- Production of payslips, payroll process reporting, adhoc reports
- Provide payroll advice and answer queries to staff as required

**About you**:

- At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Proven working knowledge of appropriate payroll systems is essential; UKG Ready & Payroll Metrics would be highly regarded
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and within a team
- Effective time management and organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloadsAbility to ensure positive employee experience when dealing with staff queries
