Position Summary: The Machine Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining manufacturing machinery to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The Machine Operator will play a crucial role in the production process, ensuring that all products meet the company’s standards for quality and performance. Key Responsibilities: 1. Machine Operation:
- Operate and monitor machinery used in the manufacturing process.
- Set up machines according to specifications and perform routine checks.
- Ensure machines are running smoothly and efficiently during production.
- Quality Control:
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and report any issues or defects in the production process.
- Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Production Supervisor.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of machine operation, production output, and maintenance activities.
- Complete production logs and quality reports as required.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding production status and any issues.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with other machine operators, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth production flow.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist in training new operators as needed. Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience operating machinery in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the kitchen or furniture manufacturing industry. Skills:
- Strong technical skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency in using measuring tools and equipment.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Key Competencies:
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details to ensure high standards of quality.
- Technical Proficiency: Capability to operate and maintain various types of manufacturing machinery.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge and practice of workplace safety protocols.
