About the role We build, repair and maintain our entire fleet of trailers and are currently seeking an experienced Workshop Foreman for our workshop in Leumeah. This position will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring all trailer builds, repairs and maintenance are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard. The role will also assist with the ongoing expansion, improvement and management of our fleet and workshop operations. The successful candidate will be a motivated and hands-on leader with strong organisational skills, a solid mechanical background and the ability to lead and support a productive workshop team. Core duties and required skills will include, although are not limited to:
· Lead and supervise daily workshop operations
· Coordinate trailer builds, repairs, servicing and maintenance activities
· Allocate work effectively to ensure productivity and quality outcomes
· Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to workshop staff
· Ensure all trailers are built and repaired to company and safety standards
· Diagnose mechanical, electrical and structural trailer issues
· Monitor workshop efficiency, timelines and job completion targets
· Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure WHS compliance
· Conduct quality control inspections prior to trailer release
· Liaise with internal departments regarding workshop requirements
· Manage workshop housekeeping, tools and equipment maintenance
· Assist with stock control and ordering of workshop parts and materials
· Train, mentor and support workshop team members
· Promote professionalism, teamwork and high customer service standards
· Customer service support About you
· Robust leadership skills
· Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings
· Basic IT skills
· Flexible and approachable
· Strong verbal and written communication
· C class driver’s licence
· Forklift licence (desirable)
