Details: Join the ACT Parks and Conservation Service's Forest Management team and help shape the future of sustainable forestry in the ACT. We are seeking a motivated and collaborative forestry professional to fill a temporary vacancy at the Skilled Officer Class 1 (PO1). In this role, you will deliver forestry programs that support the ACT community and environment. You will bring experience in roading, harvesting or GIS across the full forest lifecycle and have a strong understanding of Pinus radiata management on a commercial scale. Your ability to work respectfully with Traditional Custodians and ecological experts to integrate cultural and environmental values is highly valued. Eligibility/Other requirements
- This position is classified as "Fire Trained Employee" under the ACT Public Sector Technical and Other Professional Enterprise Agreement 2023-2026. Bushfire related activities, including suppression and rostered standby, are components of the role
- Able to work legally in Australia
- Have a valid driver’s licence
- Previous experience in Forestry Contract Management and/or Roading Contract Management Note: This is a temporary position available immediately for up to six months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
