Insurance Lawyer (Canberra)

About the role A national law firm is seeking a Solicitor (2 years+ PQE) to join its established insurance practice in Canberra. This role offers meaningful client exposure, complex advisory work and the chance to build a long‑term career within a high‑performing team. You’ll work across a varied portfolio of insurance matters, including litigated and advisory work. The position has a robust focus on common law and statutory compensation claims, with opportunities to expand into areas such as public liability, regulatory matters, medical negligence and general insurance disputes. - Managing and assisting with litigated insurance matters
- Providing strategic advice on liability, coverage and claim resolution
- Working closely with senior lawyers and partners on complex files
- Engaging directly with clients and external stakeholders
- Preparing written advice, reports and court documents
- Appearing in courts and tribunals where required What you’ll bring
