System Engineers, Network Engineers & Developers& Canberra

We are partnering with a BIG4 Consulting firm on a major Defence technology program comprising multiple work packages across systems engineering, software development, and network engineering. This large-scale engagement will support critical national capability initiatives within a highly secure workplace.

We are seeking experienced professionals across several disciplines to join long-term delivery teams supporting complex infrastructure, engineering, and platform initiatives.

Software Developers – Python/Linux (NV2 Cleared)

Contract Summary

Employment Type: Contract or Permanent

Contract Length: 12 months (with extension potential)

Work Model: Adaptable depending on clearance and project requirements

Location: Canberra preferred, however candidates across Australia may be considered subject to approval

Responsibilities

Design, integrate, and support complex systems within secure Defence environments.

Develop systems engineering artefacts including requirements, interface definitions, and verification documentation.

Support solution architecture, integration, and operational readiness activities.

Work across multi-disciplinary engineering and delivery teams.

Contribute to systems assurance, risk management, and compliance activities.

Software Developers – Python/Linux (NV2)

Develop and maintain software solutions within secure Linux-based environments.

Build and support automation, scripting, and backend services using Python.

Support integration activities and deployment pipelines.

Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across development and production environments.

Collaborate with engineering and infrastructure teams across agile delivery streams.

Support enterprise and secure network environments across project and BAU activities.

Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure.

Support network security, performance optimisation, and operational resilience.

Work across routing, switching, firewalls, and secure communications technologies.

Participate in implementation, testing, and operational support activities.
