- $95,000pa WR Engineering is a family‑owned company that has been operating for over 50 years. We have been a leader in Canberra for installing and servicing garage doors and installing fencing since 1967 and we are currently seeking an experienced and talented Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic instruments, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Our ideal candidate will have robust attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with designs mechanical and electromechanical products and systems by developing and testing specifications and methods.
- Assist with the evaluation of Mechanical Systems by applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials.
- Assist with the development of products and services by analysing customer requirements and expectations.
- Confirm suitability of Delivery Services by analysing client feedback.
- Assist with the Service Delivery in design, maintenance and corrective actions for optimal product performance.
- Assist with the Service Delivery Processes by designing and modifying equipment for fabricating, building, assembling, and installation of components.
- Assist with monitoring Service Delivery and Product Quality by designing and implementing testing methods; testing finished product and system capabilities; and confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes.
- Assist with Product Reports by collecting, analysing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Keep equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services; following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures; and requesting special services.
- Complete projects by training and guiding technicians.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, participating in skilled societies.
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Skills
