Medical Receptionist/optical Dispenser Canberra

Our client is seeking a friendly and outgoing individual to join their team as a part/time casual receptionist/optical assistant.

Responsibilities:

Meet and greet patients with a smile.

Assist patients in selecting appropriate frames and sunglasses, considering their visual needs, prescription requirements, and personal style preferences.

Provide qualified advice and recommendations on lens options to optimise vision and enhance the overall eyewear experience.

Place and track orders for lenses, frames, and other eyewear accessories, coordinating with external suppliers and maintaining inventory control.

Collaborate effectively with the optometrists, support staff, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as receptionist or customer service/retail assistant ideal but not essential.

A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor.

Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically with patients of all ages and backgrounds.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.

Demonstrates a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and develop new skills.

Valuable computer skills including familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
