**A little about the role**
KAA is now in the ACT, bringing essential services such as foster care, kinship care, family preservation, and aftercare to the community. Are you a qualified Social Worker based in Canberra, with a passion for working with children, young people, their families and supporting our foster carers? If so, keep reading!
**As a Social worker you will**:
- Provide ongoing support via phone and supervisory visits, including occasional unannounced visits, ensuring thorough documentation.
- Support children and families in maintaining contact and assist with smooth introductions to foster carers.
- Perform direct work and assessments of children, young people, and foster carers based on identified needs.
- Ensure Risk Assessments are completed, meeting all requirements and complying with child protection procedures.

**About you**
To be successful in this role, you’ll come with:
- Degree in social work (or similar).
- Eligibility for registration with AASW (desirable).
- Prior experience working with and/or on behalf of children, young people and families.
- Experience in undertaking comprehensive assessments to develop, implement, monitor and review client plans.
- Knowledge of various Child Protection Legislation, Government initiatives and agendas across ACT.
- Tenacity, diligence and resilience
- with the ability to adopt a creative approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.
The base salary for this position is $85,120.36- $91,586.56/annum (based on 1.0 EFT), + super + vehicle & fuel card + generous NFP packaging available (up to $15,900/annum). This is a full-time, ongoing positions.
