**The Role** Working to the Industry Hub’s Assistant Director’s broad direction, you will
- Provide administrative support, management, and support to the Hub’s activities including triaging enquiries, managing service level agreement workflows and managing the Industry Hub’s various reporting requirements
- Contribute to the development and delivery of ODIS’s program information products that will support the diverse range of industry enquiries and executive tasks the Industry Hub is responsible for or has a supporting role
- Have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of activities within and across the ODIS Branch
- Actioning all communications received the through ODIS’s Industry Hub communication channels that includes enquiries from businesses and industry, internal and external stakeholders, inter-governmental agencies and ministerial offices.
- Supporting high quality responses to Ministerial requests, FOIs and other departmental reporting and briefing tasks.
- Coordinating and reporting on Industry Hub activities.
- Responding to industry and other stakeholder enquiries.
- Responding to Contact Centre escalation.
- Assist in the design, development and delivery of information products that support the strategic objectives of ODIS by using evidence based research for developing FAQs for internal and external users such as by businesses, industry associations, government agencies and ODIS engagement program.
- Developing content for ODIS webpages, presentations and other ad-hoc engagement activities.
- Collaboration with other areas of ODIS, Australian Industry Capability Division and Capability Acquisition & Sustainment Group.
**About our Team** Australian Industry Capability (AIC) Division supports Defence delivery on the Government’s policy direction to equip and sustain the ADF. AIC Division assists in developing current initiatives designed to drive behavioural change across Government, Defence and Industry to develop a deeper and broader sovereign industrial base while making Defence a stronger client. Office of Defence Industry Support, ODIS, is part of Australian Industry Capability Division within Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group, Department of Defence.ODIS’s purpose is to work with businesses, industry, associations and state and territory governments to help build a globally competitive and sustainable Australian defence industry that can meet Defence’s capability requirements. ODIS is designed to help transform the Defence/industry relationship and to fund new industry development, critical skilling and export programs. ODIS also helps facilitate access to Defence’s innovation programs for small to medium enterprises.

- Excellent knowledge of, and recent experience in, administration processes and procedures including coordination of a range of activities
- A sound understanding of compliance, assurance and probity issues and management
- Strong writing, editing and presentation skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Identify, prioritise your work and manage time-conflicting tasks
- Confidence working independently and responding to changing priorities
- Demonstrated ability to build positive and constructive relationships with colleagues, management and other stakeholders in Defence and ODIS’s service providers
- Strong team building and collaboration skills
- An understanding of Defence’s procurement and contracting landscape
- Small business understanding and business acumen
