We’re looking for a Chef Manager who can not only deliver outstanding food but also take ownership of the overall performance and culture of a small village of 80 residents. This is a unique dual role, perfect for a hands-on chef who wants to step confidently into site leadership. Your Role: As the Chef Manager, you will be the driving force behind both culinary excellence and village operations . You’ll lead by example, lift standards, and ensure your team delivers an exceptional resident experience—every single day. What You’ll Lead & Deliver:
- Prepare and deliver high-quality dinner service
- Coach, mentor, and develop your kitchen and village teams
- Build positive, professional relationships with clients and residents
- Oversee stock control, budgeting, ordering, rostering, and cost management
- Ensure compliance with HSEQ, HACCP, and Compass standards
- Maintain a clean, secure, and efficient kitchen and village environment
- Minimise waste and enhance operational efficiency
- Support day-to-day village operations as part of your leadership responsibilities This role is the perfect stepping stone for a talented chef ready to grow into village management. You’ll Be a Great Fit If You:
- Have experience as a Chef Manager or Head Chef in a remote and bulk-catering environment
- Are confident leading people and enjoy building a positive team culture
- Take real pride in the meals you produce and the service you deliver

- Want to develop broader operational and leadership skills beyond the kitchen Role Requirements
- Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
- Experience in large-scale or bulk catering environments
- Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, menu planning, cost control, and rostering
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and HACCP requirements
- Current manual driver’s licence
- Approved Managers Licence
- National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain one)
