Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 per annum plus 12% superannuation

Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various culinary techniques, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and cook high-quality dishes according to the Luna Bar menu.

• Create special menus for events, seasonal specials, and promotional activities that enhance the dining experience and attract a diverse clientele.

• Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest standard and meet customer expectations.

• Lead and manage kitchen operations during service hours, ensuring efficient workflow and top-quality dish presentation.

• Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring productive operation and teamwork.

• Manage food and kitchen supplies inventory by ordering necessary ingredients and tools, keeping track of stock levels, and minimizing waste.

• Uphold the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness by enforcing strict hygiene protocols throughout the kitchen.

• Address any specific dietary requests or concerns from guests, ensuring their needs are met with care and precision.

• Collaborate with the management team to enhance the overall dining experience.

• Plan and execute special events and catering services as required.

• Stay updated on industry trends and implement innovative cooking techniques.

Qualifications:

• Certificate III, IV in Commercial Cookery and Diploma of Hospitality (Preferred but not mandatory).

Other skills and requirements:

• Requiring a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a relevant role

• Strong leadership skills, capable of managing and motivating a team.

• A deep understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
