- $185,334 per annum plus 17% superannuation Terms: Full-time, Continuing Position Description and Selection Criteria: Position Overview This is an exciting leadership prospect as the Director of the Australian Data Archive (ADA), hosted by POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research at The Australian National University. In this role, you will lead the ADA as a national research data infrastructure service within POLIS, collaborating with partners across the University, Australian universities, government agencies and international standards organisations. The occupant of this position will be required to successfully manage the day-to-day operations of ADA at the local and national levels. The role includes responsibility for ADA data archiving processes, including archive and access activities, and coordination with the international organisations to support standards and tools which the Archive needs to maintain in its services. In addition, the occupant will coordinate ADA’s operational requirements in the development, design and implementation of ADA procedures for management of the ADA collection. The Centre The Australian Data Archive (ADA) provides a national service for the collection, preservation and dissemination of digital research data, enabling secure and sustainable reuse across social science and related domains. The ADA is based in POLIS: The Centre for Social Policy Research which is designed to provide a designated space at the University for discussion, debate and research on the formulation of social policy. The Centre provides research and expertise on social policy in response to community and federal and state/territory government needs and requirements. POLIS delivers exceptionally robust data and evidence driven insights into the key challenges facing contemporary Australia. This provides the foundational cornerstones of informed social policy development amongst leading stakeholders within our modern policy landscape: government, community groups, business representatives, and educators.
