System Administrators (Canberra)

Kinexus has partnered with the Australian Signals Directorate to assist in sourcing experienced System Administrators with current NV2 Security Clearances to work across various core ICT branches within the organisation on site at their Canberra offices. ASD is the federal agency responsible for foreign signals intelligence, cyber warfare and information security. ASD's purpose is to defend Australia from global threats and help advance our national interests. About the Role As a System Administrator/Infrastructure Engineer at ASD, you'll implement, manage and retire the infrastructure (including physical, virtual, networking and cloud infrastructure) that supports digital services. Your duties will include:
- Perform routine installations and de-installations of items of hardware and software.
- Apply knowledge of Defence and industry accepted hardware and software products relevant to systems administration, current system functionality and Defence's business domain.
- Maintain reliability of ICT infrastructure including configuration automation, upgrading, patching, monitoring and utilising version control systems.
- Utilise automation tools to prepare and replicate system builds.
- Configure and sustain core services for systems including monitoring, syslog or authentication. This role is offered as an initial 15 Month Contract with an additional 2 x 12 Month Extension Options. The role is required to be performed full time on site at the Department's Canberra office, with limited versatile working arrangements to be discussed on a case by case basis. Selection Criteria 1.
