The Fresh Collective is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Events Chef to join our esteemed Catering Brigade. This casual position will be based at various functions and events held at corporate offices in Sydney CBD, Arts Gallery NSW, Australian Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art. 24 hours per week Shifts available on weekdays & weekends Demonstrate your culinary talents, passion and flair for an award-winning caterer Create dishes for some of Sydney’s most exclusive events A fun and motivated team environment Be part of a growing hospitality group

The Role

Based on site at various locations around Sydney CBD, this position is responsible for the final preparation and plating of dishes for functions and events. This position is perfect for chefs with excellent attention to detail and a creative flair! Work in office in a range of premium venues across Sydney CBD Oversee the accurate and consistent preparation and presentation of all dishes at functions and events Oversee a team of junior chefs Work closely with the Executive Chef to deliver high-quality menus Work closely with Event Managers and Function Supervisors to meet all client needs Check off all food and equipment on arrival to site, and before leaving site

About You

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery 4 years’+ experience in a 5-star hotel, large-scale restaurant or catering company Passionate about producing quality dishes Driven to achieve the highest standards in an efficient manner Solid time management and planning skills Able to effectively manage and motivate a team of chefs Excellent attention to detail Ability to follow standard recipes Valid working rights in Australia
