Details: City Renewal is seeking an accomplished hands‑on Executive Branch Manager, Portfolio Management Office (PMO) to lead and mature the agency’s portfolio, program and project management capability in support of complex, design‑led urban renewal delivery. This senior leadership role is responsible for establishing and embedding fit‑for‑purpose portfolio planning, performance and reporting frameworks that enable transparent prioritisation, informed decision making and delivery confidence across City Renewal’s program of work. The successful candidate will bring robust experience in project management preferably with experience in urban renewal, construction, development or design‑led delivery environments, including the management of consultants and contractors, provide strategic insight to the Executive and Board on portfolio performance, sequencing, interdependencies and delivery risks, while leading a high performing PMO operating within a matrix model alongside delivery teams.

Our projects include the landmark Acton Waterfront, targeted upgrades across the City Centre, and City Hill master planning, among others. In this role, you will work closely with delivery leaders to uplift portfolio and project management maturity, strengthen performance discipline, and support consistent, transparent reporting across the organisation.

Remuneration: The position attracts a remuneration package ranging from $289,335
- $298,258 depending on current superannuation arrangements of the successful applicant. This includes a cash component of $254,964 .

Contract: The successful applicant will be engaged under a performance‑based long‑term contract for a period of up to five years. Prospective applicants should be aware that long‑term engagements are tabled in the ACT Legislative Assembly.
