Regulatory Operations Division – APS Level 6 – Bulk Recruitment
Base pay range: A$96,503 /yr – A$109,061 /yr

The Commission is the independent regulator of Australian aged care services, tasked with safeguarding older Australians.
About the Regulatory Operations Division (ROD)
ROD monitors, assesses and enforces compliance across the aged care sector. Branches include Audit, Risk Intake & Inspectorate, Registrar, and Compliance & Enforcement.
Roles & Responsibilities
Conduct audits, inspections, or assessments of aged care providers.
Review documentation and evidence to determine compliance.
Engage with providers, older people, and stakeholders.
Prepare reports and recommendations.
Support regulatory decision‑making.
Lead or contribute to teams and projects.
Participate in field‑based work and travel as required.
Key Position Duties
Adopt one of the following branches/roles: Senior Audit Officer, Lead Auditor, Senior Inspector – Risk Based Monitoring, Senior Inspector – Worker Conduct and Suitability, Senior Registry Assessor, Senior Compliance Officer / Senior Investigator.
Eligibility & Essential Requirements
Australian citizenship.
Current unrestricted licence for travel.
Seasonal influenza and COVID‑19 vaccination.
Authorised Commission Officer approval capability.
Background check via national police check.
Desirable Qualifications
Certificate IV in Government Investigations, legal or investigative background.
Experience in complex investigations and evidence‑based reporting.
Skilled Competencies
Sound judgment and integrity.
Explicit and respectful communication.
Analytical ability and evidence‑based reporting.
Cooperative teamwork.
Priority management and deadline compliance.
Knowledge of aged care legislation and regulatory frameworks.
Commitment to public service and curiosity.

Case management and outcome delivery.
Training & Support
