About the role
A federal government agency is seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Software Engineer for a 12-month contract based in Canberra, with potential extensions totalling up to 24 months. Working within a small, cooperative ICT team, you will provide development and technical support across SAP ERP and SRM environments, contributing to the ongoing modernisation of foundational technology platforms. The role is primarily onsite, with flexible arrangements considered at the agency's discretion.
Duties
Deliver SAP ABAP and WebDynpro development
Maintain and support SAP ERP and SRM systems day-to-day
Diagnose, analyse and resolve reported system faults
Design, configure, test and implement ABAP programs and methods
Mentor team members and contribute to code reviews
Skills & experience
Extensive SAP ABAP development experience at senior level
Proficiency in ABAP OO, WebDynpro, Fiori, UI5 and Smartforms
Experience with ALE, IDOCs, REST Web Services and SAP Gateway
Tertiary qualifications in IT or a related field
