The Senior Networking Integration Engineer is an advanced subject‐matter expert who designs, configures, deploys, integrates and manages complex networking environments. The engineer communicates technical specifications clearly and develops alternative solutions as backup planning. The role works with Australian Federal government organisations; therefore only Australian Citizens with NV1 AGSVA security clearance are eligible. Unacceptable applications will not be processed. Key responsibilities Interacts with clients on site and remote to meet complex solution requirements. Escalates unresolved problems and issues to relevant third parties. Delegates lower‐complexity tasks to engineers and technicians. Coordinates engineer activities, meets performance targets, leads by example and monitors quality of work. Documents standard operating procedures for installations and fixes. Coaches and mentors junior implementation engineers and technicians. Provides third‐level, remote and on‐site support, and problem management on the customer service desk as needed. Contributes to complex design work, providing input to design expectations. Engages vendors for priority escalations or bugs discovered during deployments. Performs any other related tasks as required. To thrive in this role, you need to have Advanced understanding of technical design and business principles. Strong project fundamentals and administration ability. Advanced customer engagement skills. Advanced domain specialist knowledge in networking. Advanced knowledge of at least one technology from EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS/Segment Routing, Overlay/Underlay WAN, Security (VPN, Gateways, Secure Access, F5, Palo Alto). Ability to automate infrastructure configuration and deployment. Ensures management and operational integration (solution and tools support operational needs). Excellent verbal communication skills. Client‐focused and proactive problem‐solving approach. Advanced coaching, mentoring and guidance ability. Ownership as technical lead during project lifecycle. Required experience 7–10 years of experience in technical design, implementation and systems integration for networking technologies. Advanced experience with routing, switching, wireless, SD‐I distribution, core and access layers across multi‐vendor solutions. Experience with infrastructure automation for consistent configuration, automated deployment and monitoring of hybrid networking infrastructure technologies. Excellent client engagement and communication skills. Advanced diagnosis and troubleshooting skills. Academic qualification, certifications and security requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computing or related field. Qualified level certification in networking technologies (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, F5, CCIE, JNCIE, ACMP, etc.). Australian Citizen with NV1 AGSVA security clearance. Compliance with all applicable security and background‐check requirements. Desirable Workplace type Hybrid working arrangements are available.
