About The Roles Our Federal Government Client is seeking two senior architecture resources:
- Developer Portal Architect
- Cloud Architect (API Gateway Platform) These contract opportunities are available across Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Canberra, with an initial 6‑month contract with 2x6‑month extension options. As the selected candidate, you will join a strategic platform program focused on designing and delivering up-to-date API and developer platform capabilities that support enterprise digital services at scale. Role 1 – Developer Portal Architect As the Developer Portal Architect, you will lead the design and delivery of a modern developer portal platform that enables users to discover, access, and manage APIs. Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end portal architecture across frontend, backend, and integrations
- Design frontend architecture using React‑based SPA frameworks and documentation platforms
- Define backend service architecture, including API orchestration and integrations
- Design AWS‑based hosting patterns (Lambda, DynamoDB, CloudFront/S3)
- Define API publishing, versioning, and developer experience standards
- Design integration flows for onboarding, credential management, and workflow orchestration
- Produce architecture artefacts (logical/physical architecture, ADRs, data models)
- Support transition planning from legacy platforms Key Skills Required
