About The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services team, within the Eating Disorders Program. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments and delivering evidence-based interventions to children, adolescents and adults experiencing eating disorders. This will involve both individual and family-based therapeutic work. You will work within a multidisciplinary team, providing clinical support and supervision to Health Professional Level 1 and 2 staff, allied health assistants and students. The role requires active participation in professional development, quality improvement initiatives and contributing to team processes. You will also provide occasional support to the Eating Disorders Clinical Hub as needed and must be available to work across all program areas within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services to ensure service demands are met. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced mental health clinician with specialised experience in eating disorders. You must be able to work within and support a multi-disciplinary team environment, adapt to a changing environment, respond to and prioritise competing demands in a calm and efficient manner, and ensure high work standards are maintained across the team. - Undergo a pre‑employment National Police Check.
- Current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011.
- Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.
- Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
