Your New Role and Responsibilities We are seeking an experienced Standard Operating Setting (SOE) Engineer to play a pivotal role in planning, developing, testing, and deploying a Windows 11 Standard Operating Environment across the enterprise. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring a smooth transition from Windows 10 to Windows 11, aligning with organisational security, compliance, and performance standards. You will work closely with the customer to:
- Design, build, and maintain the Windows 11 System Optimisation (SOE) image using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM), Microsoft Intune, and Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT).
- Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to ensure SOE compliance with organisational policies.
- Conduct pilot deployments and gather feedback to refine the SOE.
- Document SOE configurations, deployment procedures, and support guides.
- Participate in change management and risk assessment processes, ensuring that all changes to the SOE are managed effectively and potential risks are identified and mitigated. What You’ll Bring to Make an Impact
- Proven experience in SOE engineering and desktop deployment projects.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 architecture and deployment methodologies.
- Proficiency with MECM/SCCM, Intune, PowerShell scripting, and Group Policy.
- Experience with application packaging and compatibility testing.
