Our client is seeking a disputes lawyer to provide critical support on a high‑profile and sensitive investigation and dispute on an initial contract term with potential to extend. This role offers the chance to work directly on nationally significant matters, providing legal guidance, research, and drafting support in a fast‑paced and highly confidential environment. The role requires a high level of legal acumen, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work under tight deadlines while managing multiple priorities. Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal support across disputes, investigations, and inquiry-related matters.
- Draft, review, and manage submissions, reports, and other legal documentation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support evidence‑based decision‑making.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with legislative and procedural requirements. Please note submissions are due by COB Monday 11 May ****. Candidate Requirements
- Required to hold Australian Citizenship, a baseline security clearance is ideal.
- Australian‑qualified lawyer with experience in disputes, investigations, inquiries, or regulatory matters.
- Solid drafting, research, and analytical skills, with the ability to distill complex legal issues clearly.
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing urgent deadlines and high‑volume workloads.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the discretion and judgment required for sensitive government matters.
