Capacity Manager (Canberra)

The Capacity Manager is accountable for the capacity management function for storage and virtual hosting services delivered to multiple government departments. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain capacity models for storage and virtual hosting, including utilisation, forecasting and risk identification.
- Translate business demand into validated capacity requirements and ensure forecasts inform procurement, lifecycle planning and budgeting.
- Govern capacity‑allocation processes, ensuring all changes are assessed, approved and aligned with standards.
- Monitor performance, availability and capacity risks, driving optimisation and mitigation actions across infrastructure teams.
- Deliver reporting, stakeholder input and support for incidents, audits, lifecycle planning and strategic capacity‑management initiatives. About You and What You’ll Bring
- Demonstrated experience in ITIL Capacity Management within large‑scale enterprise or government environments.
- Strong understanding of capacity modelling, forecasting, trend analysis and lifecycle planning for enterprise platforms.
- Ability to communicate complex technical capacity insights in a clear, business‑focused manner.
- Experience working within formal governance, change and regulated environments, including multi‑provider infrastructure (on‑premises and cloud).
- Proficiency in reporting and visualisation tools (e.g., Grafana), with relevant ITIL certification or equivalent experience.
