- Together. The Opportunity KBR is seeking a detail-oriented Project Support Officer to assist in the delivery of Australia's Guided Weapons & Explosive Ordnance (GWEO) program. This role supports complex capability development, infrastructure delivery, and sovereign manufacturing initiatives. In this role, you will support planning and execution activities across complex Defence programs, assisting with a range of project coordination, procurement, and contract support functions. You will help ensure project activities are conducted in line with Defence policies, legal and regulatory frameworks, and KBR's internal systems. Your responsibilities will span project administration, risk, compliance, assurance, and governance, supporting both acquisition and through-life capability delivery. Defence experience would be highly regarded. Responsibilities
- Support project management across scope, schedule, risk, and budget
- Assist with Cabinet submissions, business cases, and decision briefs
- Contribute to CapDev, capability planning, and acquisition activities
- Support infrastructure governance and production line establishment
- Assist with risk tracking, reporting, and project documentation
- Support delivery of rocket motor capability, manufacturing, and operational HOTO
- Provide commercial and project administration support to delivery teams As the ideal candidate you will bring:
- Experience in project support, Defence, or government programs
- Strong skills in document writing and business case development
- Understanding of risk, scope, schedule, and budget management
- Exposure to GWEO / Defence capability programs (highly desirable)
- Knowledge of rocket motor manufacturing or infrastructure delivery (very highly desirable)
- Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail Minimum AGSVA NV1 Security Clearance and Australian citizenship required to be eligible. What we will offer you:
