Join a collaborative and supportive team delivering high quality communications as a Senior Communications Officer. This role can be based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is APS6
- $99,734 to $111,701 p.a., plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%. This is a full‑time, non‑ongoing opportunity initially for a period of around 12 months , with the possibility of extension. The role may become ongoing, subject to business requirements. Flexible working arrangements are available, including hybrid and remote options. The team is nationally distributed, with most members based in Sydney. About the opportunity Reporting to the Assistant Director – Public Affairs, you will provide a professional and responsive communication service with a range of stakeholders. In this role you will:
- deliver high‑quality, user‑focused communications with a focus on external audiences
- hone your skills in content production, media liaison, and project and stakeholder management
- work across a range of projects to engage audiences, mainly through digital channels. About you We are looking for a motivated communication professional who can work both independently and as part of team in a fast‑paced environment. To be successful you will have:
- Experience providing relevant services in a complex, multi‑stakeholder environment, including to develop and maintain effective working relationships within the Tribunal and with external stakeholders.
- Highly developed research, writing, editing, and proofing skills.
- Digital and design experience, including content management, basic graphic design, photography, and/or video production.
- Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for managing work projects in support of Tribunal priorities.
- Ability to supervise and develop team members, including leading by example, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback on performance.
- Demonstrated self‑awareness and a commitment to personal development, including the ability to reflect on and discuss own performance, and respond positively to change. Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or professional experience would be considered highly desirable.
- Required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and a Health Assessment. What we offer
