Position Overview One of our Federal Government Clients is seeking to engage an ICT Procurement and Contract Manager. Contract Details Contract Duration: 3 years+ (15 months initially + 24 months extension). Work Location: Only Canberra (Hybrid – 3 days in office / 2 days working from home each week). Eligibility: Baseline Security Clearance or above. Tentative Start Date: 1st July ****. Key Duties and Responsibilities
- ICT Procurement and advisory services.
- Software sourcing, procurement, and advisory services.
- Software licensing, advisory and audit.
- Contract management of telecommunication contracts.
- Vendor Management.
- Labour Hire services, including invoice and purchase order management.
- Managed services contract management.
- Cloud services procurement and contract management.
- Lead and contribute to projects to support organisational level strategic and operational objectives.
- Develop and oversee implementation of administrative practices, systems and procedures to optimise efficiency.
- Act as a strategic and operational point of contact, liaise with stakeholders and action requests.
- Anticipate and address contentious issues and provide accurate advice on complex commercial issues within tight timeframes.
- Track and report costs associated with contract budgets.
- Develop and manage procurement activities and provide procurement advice to various stakeholders.
- Manage contract and vendor management, including across some MOUs.
- Assist with migration of procurements, contracts and MOUs into the Department under Machine of Government (MOG) activities.
- Assist in negotiations with vendors and key stakeholders.
- Seek, follow‑up and finalise financial approvals through SAP.
- Manage vendor relationships and governance across procurements, contracts and MOUs.
- Manage end‑to‑end procurement process on behalf of business areas within Health.
- Provide ongoing visibility to the Director via reporting.
- Contribute towards knowledge and skills transfer. Essential Criteria
- Demonstrated procurement/contract management (or similar) experience in the public or private sector at SFIA level 4.
- Knowledge and understanding of, and ability to apply the Commonwealth Procurement Rules to Procurement and Contract Management activities.
- Highly developed analytical, interpretive and problem‑solving skills to form views, provide procurement advice and make evidence‑based decisions.
- Well‑developed written communication skills to plan, prepare and develop procurement plans, procurement documentation and reporting. Desirable Criteria
- Certificate IV in Procurement and Contract Management or equivalent qualification.
- Experience using SAP ESS, procurement, contract management or financial systems.
