Safety Advisor (Canberra)

The Project The project is in the Defence sector on sites located in regional Western Australia. The overall project is more than 2 years in duration, involving significant construction upgrades to airfield asphalt pavements and related infrastructure assets. Your opportunity We're looking for a proactive and safety-focused professional to join our team as a Safety Advisor. In this role, you'll provide expert guidance and support to ensure compliance and maintain a strong safety culture across the project. You'll be confident in managing multiple priorities, conducting audits, and engaging with teams to drive best practices. This is a FIFO position on a 14/7 roster. Our Minimum Requirements For This Role Are
- Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent
- 5 years' experience in a similar role on Civil, E&I; construction projects
- Sound understanding of Construction Safety legislation
- Demonstrable experience of Safety Management System implementation
- High level ability to conducting site inspections, audits and risk assessments
- Experience leading incident investigations and reporting highly desirable
- Ability to effectively prioritise and manage assigned workload
- Willingness to work on a 14 days on, 7 days off, Fly in Fly out roster.
- Ability to meet Department of Defence security clearance requirements (DCAC). Benefits
