Classification: Senior Manager 1 (Administration) Salary package: $138,182
- $144,783 per annum plus 17% superannuation Terms: Full time, Fixed term (up to 18 months) About the opportunity The Australian National University is seeking a Program Manager to support the delivery of two significant University-wide initiatives: the implementation of the Nixon Review recommendations and the ANU Mental Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2025-30. These programs focus on strengthening culture, accountability, and wellbeing across the University. The role will coordinate implementation activity across multiple areas and support the delivery of agreed outcomes through structured program management, stakeholder engagement, and governance support. Key responsibilities
- Coordinate delivery activities across multiple program workstreams
- Maintain integrated plans, schedules, and reporting to track progress and dependencies
- Support stakeholder engagement and cross-portfolio coordination
- Assist in preparation of governance papers, reporting, and program documentation
- Monitor and escalation risks, issues, and delivery constraints
- Support consistent implementation of program activities across the University
- Contribute to structured delivery practices and continuous improvement What you will bring
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships across diverse teams and stakeholder groups
- Confidence engaging with a wide range of people, including senior stakeholders, in complex and sensitive environments
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to bring people together, navigate differing perspectives, and support shared outcomes
- Sound program coordination capability, balancing detail focus with a clear understanding of broader objectives
- Adaptability and resilience in managing competing priorities within a changing and fast‑paced environment
- Transparent and credible communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences
