Systems Design Lead Canberra

Profectus is seeking to engage a Deployable Systems Design Lead to support a significant Australian Government program of work spanning specialty engineering, systems engineering and integration, networking and cross‑domain solutions, and commercial delivery assurance. The Deployable Systems Design Lead is responsible for leading, coordinating and assuring facilities and deployable infrastructure designs that support secure government operational environments. The role applies specialist expertise to ensure designs are fit‑for‑purpose, compliant and operationally effective across fixed facilities and deployable/modular infrastructure. About the role Lead facilities and deployable infrastructure designs supporting estate works and on‑premises data centres. Coordinate multi-disciplinary facilities design across civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, ICT and security. Manage design risks and constraints related to safety, integration, operability and sustainment. Adapt fixed facility design standards to deployable and austere operating contexts. Integrate fixed and deployable systems ensuring interoperability, connectivity, power and environmental compatibility. Required skills and experience
- Leading or managing facilities design activities within complex government environments
- Estate works brownfield and greenfield project experience
- Deployable, modular or rapidly deployable capability solutions
- Multi-disciplinary coordination and senior stakeholder communication
- 5+ years working with Australian Government estate authorities
- Mission‑critical or high‑availability facility environments
- Formal qualifications in architecture, engineering, building services or infrastructure design Locations Canberra (ACT). Onsite at Australian Government premises.
