- ICT Advisory and Delivery About Terrace Services Terrace Services is an Australian‑owned consultancy advising Commonwealth agencies on the procurement, investment, and strategic management of technology. The Role The Practice Lead is responsible for leading Terrace's ICT Advisory and Delivery practice; across both client delivery and internal capability. This is a senior, hands‑on role combining delivery of high‑profile engagements with responsibility for shaping the direction, capability, and growth of the practice. You will work directly with the Management Team on what the firm pursues, how engagements are delivered, and how the practice evolves. Canberra‑based (hybrid working supported, including work from home) or willing to relocate, with the ability to attend client sites as required. Key Responsibilities Lead complex engagements across ICT strategy, digital investment planning, enterprise architecture, and major platform or roadmap initiatives. Act as the senior Terrace representative with SES‑level stakeholders, including steering committees and sensitive deliverables. Own both delivery outcomes and commercial performance across engagements. Develop and mentor consultants within the practice, building depth and capability over time. Identify capability gaps and contribute to recruitment and workforce planning. Originate and grow new work through existing client relationships and Terrace panel arrangements. About You Significant experience advising Commonwealth agencies on ICT strategy, investment, or transformation. Proven track record leading multi‑stream engagements with responsibility for both delivery and commercials. Solid written capability and a willingness to stay close to the work, not just review outputs. Established relationships across APS CIO, CTO, or CDO communities. Australian citizen with a Baseline security clearance (NV1 eligible). AI strategy and governance in a public sector context. Procurement and sourcing of major ICT services.
