Join a nationally significant regulatory organisation delivering one of the most important enterprise transformation programs in the public sector. This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact finance role supporting a major digital and regulatory transformation agenda focused on modernising systems, strengthening regulatory capability, and enabling more proactive, intelligence-led decision making across a complex operating environment. Working within a high-performing corporate and transformation division, you will support large-scale transformation initiatives through financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and commercial insight. You will work closely with program leaders and stakeholders to help ensure public resources are effectively managed and transformation outcomes are successfully delivered. This role will suit a commercially minded APS finance professional who enjoys working in fast-moving program environments and can confidently manage competing priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail. The Opportunity: Reporting to the Assistant Director, Enterprise Budget, you will contribute across a broad range of budgeting and finance activities supporting major transformation initiatives. Key responsibilities include:


- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities across transformation programs
- Preparing management reporting, financial analysis and program insights
- Monitoring expenditure, budget allocations and financial performance across multiple initiatives
- Developing and maintaining financial models and reconciliations
- Analysing financial data, trends, variances and emerging risks
- Supporting program costings and Commonwealth budget processes
- Providing financial advice to program and operational stakeholders
- Contributing to improvements in financial reporting, data quality and automation
- Supporting the use and enhancement of system-based reporting tools and processes You will ideally bring:


- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis within complex environments
- Strong ERP systems capability, ideally SAP or similar
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to interpret and analyse financial data to support decision-making
- Robust written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
- Experience supporting program or project-based financial management
- APS or government finance experience will be highly regarded
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance, along with CPA or CA qualifications, are a must Why Apply?
