Description
Role Description Proventus Group is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to support a high-performing manufacturing and engineering environment within the defence industry. This role is suited to someone with strong experience in manufacturing process optimisation, industrial engineering, ERP/PLM systems, production workflows, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with engineering, planning, production, quality, and supply chain stakeholders to improve manufacturability, production throughput, operational efficiency, and manufacturing data integrity. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyse and improve manufacturing workflows, production methods, and operational processes.
- Establish and maintain performance standards, time studies, and efficiency metrics.
- Support quality improvement activities and manufacturing issue resolution.
- Analyse engineering Bills of Materials (BoMs) and manufacturing data for optimisation opportunities.
- Convert engineering designs into manufacturable ERP production structures and methods of manufacture.
- Support production planning, material flow, and manufacturing coordination activities.
- Prepare manufacturing performance, cost, and operational improvement reporting.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, lean manufacturing activities, and value stream mapping.
- Assist with urgent manufacturing support activities impacting production delivery. About you:
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, process engineering, production engineering, or similar roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.
- Solid ERP, Excel, and manufacturing systems experience.
- Demonstrated experience with PLM tools, process mapping, manufacturing data analysis, and production workflows.
- Proficiency in 3D modelling software and automation systems.
- Strong analytical, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capability, with the ability to identify inefficiencies and troubleshoot production issues.
- Comfortable working across engineering, manufacturing, production, quality, and supply chain environments.
- Proactive, deadline-driven, and focused on continuous improvement and operational outcomes.
