Mainframe & Gen Software Engineer | Baseline Clearance Join a high-impact technology team delivering and enhancing critical enterprise systems across complex mainframe and Gen environments. This senior role is ideal for an experienced software engineering leader with robust IBM z/OS, COBOL, DB2, CICS, JCL and Broadcom Gen experience, plus the ability to guide technical design, deployment, troubleshooting and development standards across large‑scale systems. Location: QLD, WA, ACT, VIC, NSW, NT, SA or TAS Contract Duration: 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027, with up to 2 × 2‑month extension options Security Clearance Requirement: Current Baseline clearance required Essential Tasks
- Lead high‑level and detailed technical design for complex system requirements.
- Guide development, peer review, deployment and implementation of quality code.
- Provide technical leadership across troubleshooting, defect management and production support.
- Develop and maintain standards, procedures, roadmaps and technical best practices. Key Criteria
- Strong IBM z/OS mainframe experience across JCL, CICS, COBOL, DB2 and REXX.
- Demonstrated experience with Gen/Broadcom Gen and model management tools.
- Proven capability across software design, development and deployment.
