The Australian Digital Health Agency leads the national effort to digitally enable Australia’s health system. We support the delivery of person-centred, connected healthcare through the development and adoption of digital health services and systems. Our work includes managing My Health Record, Electronic prescriptions, and the 1800MEDICARE app, ensuring a healthier future for all Australians through connected healthcare. About the Role As a Senior Advisor, Workforce Capability (APS6), you will contribute to building a skilled, adaptable and future‑ready workforce aligned to the Agency’s People Strategy 2026–2028. We are looking to grow capability in areas such as learning and development, workforce strategy and planning, and diversity and inclusion; you will design, deliver and evaluate impactful, Agency‑wide initiatives that strengthen organisational capability and performance. You will also support the Agency’s Reconciliation commitments by embedding culturally inclusive practices and strengthening capability to engage effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, you will provide credible, evidence‑based advice and partner with stakeholders to translate workforce needs into practical, scalable solutions aligned to Agency priorities and APS reforms. You will contribute to high‑impact programs that build a digitally capable workforce, foster a culture of continuous learning, strengthen leadership capability, and embed diversity, inclusion and accessibility. This is a dynamic, full‑time ongoing opportunity to work on complex initiatives, influence outcomes across the Agency, and help shape a connected, collaborative and future‑focused workforce. Skills and Experience
- Proven experience delivering workforce or capability initiatives that drive business outcomes.
- Strong analytical skills, translating data into transparent insights and informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Experience across HR functions or contributing to organisation‑wide initiatives (desirable).
- Demonstrated cultural capability, with a commitment to working respectfully with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
- Strong understanding and application of diversity, equity and inclusion to deliver equitable workforce outcomes. We offer a competitive 15.4% superannuation contribution, salary packaging options, and a Christmas closedown with no leave deduction. Our wellbeing program and EAP support a healthy work‑life balance, while flexible work arrangements opportunities, including work from home, give you choice in how, when and where you work. You will enjoy modern collaborative workspaces and generous study support to employee who are eligible, as per our study assistance guidelines in our Enterprise Agreement. We also provide a wide range of leave options including parental, cultural, compassionate, emergency response and defence leave. APS6 employees can accumulate flextime for hours performed in addition to ordinary hours of work. This can go towards leave. Australian citizenship is mandatory.
