Electronics Engineer (Travel Opportunities) (Canberra)

Your role: As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll be one of the Navy’s electrical and combat systems experts, working onboard ships and ashore. You’ll help solve a variety of engineering challenges, leading a team that maintains systems and equipment, including radar, sonar, communication, navigation, combat and weapons systems. Whether you have recently finished school, currently studying, already in the workforce or you have no experience at all, we’re hiring. You’ll be paid from day one to gain all the skills needed with extensive on-the-job training. If you’re already studying or ready to study a job-relevant degree at your choice of accredited university, you can join the Navy and have your fees paid for. Your duties include, but are not limited to:
- Leading and looking after your team of engineering personnel
- Developing and evaluating proposed repair solutions
- Monitoring system performance
- Supervising and evaluating equipment trials
