We are looking for the energy of an enthusiastic and experienced Production Co-Ordinator to further build on our success. This role is suitable for someone looking to step up from a Supervisor or Team Leader role
**Description**: **Key Responsibilities**: Oversee all aspects of the production process and demonstrate hands on management in a food manufacturing environment Manage and monitor the direct and indirect production personnel ensuring production is carried out in a manner consistent with safety, environmental, quality and GMP requirements as well as regulatory compliance. Arrange pre-production meetings with operations staff to identify priorities and address team issues on a regular basis Maintain a training/skills matrix for production staff, to assist in the production planning process Build a quality culture that proactively identifies quality risks and issues, putting in place actions to resolve them Manage production staff according to company standards, with regards to appraisals, performance, training and development etc. Fully support the drive for new product development through timely provision of advice and trials. Proactive support and participation in continuous improvement activities, especially those that yield production efficiency and cost reduction. Drive the attainment of lowest cost conversion by continually focusing on labour control and high production efficiencies. Guide and direct the plant maintenance and site infrastructure maintenance. Ensure systems are in place and followed to deal with personnel issues, disciplinary processes and accountabilities and to ensure industrial harmony.
**Skills and Experience**: Proven experience in either production supervisory roles or other similar roles, preferably in the food industry. Familiar with the HACCP system Experience in OHS and training as well as working in the SME environment. Sound ability to collect, analyse and present complex data and information effectively to support decision making and action planning Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide authoritative advice, influence and negotiate with a diversity of internal and external stakeholders at all levels Highly developed planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and delegate tasks to achieve objectives and KPIs Developed computer literacy, including knowledge and experience in using Microsoft suite of software Excellent verbal and written communication.
