Junior Sous Chef (Canning Vale)

Gosnells Golf Club is looking for a qualified Junior Sous Chef to join the team. We are a busy restaurant and function venue serving a high volume of modern Australian menu and Asian cuisine. This is a busy position and will require an applicant who has previous experience in a similar role and cuisine. We value teamwork and are looking for a qualified chef that can fit in the role. To be successful in this role you must have minimum 2 years of work experience in a busy kitchen environment. Completed Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent qualification as well as knowledge of all kitchen operations. About your role; Your duties and responsibilities include but not limited to the following; Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with health and safety standards Oversee kitchen operations and ensure compliance with OH&S; standards Maintain proper standards of storage of various food items. Manage inventory, check stock level and order supplies Check delivery and minimize wastage as well as control food costs. Lead and inspire a team of kitchen staff to deliver exceptional dining experiences Train new staff as required. Maintain a clean, hygienic and organized kitchen workplace. About you the successful candidate must satisfy the following criteria, Minimum 2 years' experience as a chef in a busy restaurant Be passionate about the role to provide excellent customer service Strong knowledge of cooking techniques and methods. Excellent leadership and communication skills Ability to work with team and under pressure during busy hours. Culinary degree Certificate III level or equivalent certification preferred.
