Devlyn Construction is privately owned and has been established in Western Australia for over 35 years. We are a leading commercial contractor that specialises in delivering projects across a range of sectors in WA’s metropolitan and regional locations. We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Heavy Rigid Truck Driver to join our Procurement team and support operations across Canning Vale, Perth metropolitan sites and regional locations.
This role is primarily focused on driving, deliveries and transport coordination, and includes country runs and overnight runs as required. The position also involves hands-on support across loading, unloading and general logistics activities to help ensure materials and equipment are delivered safely, accurately and on time.
THE ROLE Reporting to the Procurement Manager, key responsibilities include:
- Operate a Heavy Rigid truck to deliver materials, equipment and supplies across metro and regional sites.
- Complete country runs and overnight runs as required to support project and site needs.
- Coordinate daily deliveries and pickup schedules to support site operations
- Load and unload vehicles safely and assist with container unloading when required.
- Complete delivery paperwork, goods receipting and transport-related documentation accurately.
- Support warehouse organisation, stock movements and inventory control activities.
- Monitor vehicle condition, fuel usage and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and the Procurement Manager to keep deliveries on schedule.
- Maintain a secure, clean and compliant work environment across vehicles, warehouse and sites. ABOUT YOU To be successful with Devlyn, our ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrated experience as a Heavy Rigid truck driver in a delivery, logistics or construction support setting.
- A strong commitment to safe driving, vehicle care and compliance.
- Availability and willingness to complete country runs and overnight runs as required.
- Ability to load and unload materials and work in a physically active role.
- Good knowledge of metro and regional delivery routes and strong time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across multiple teams and sites.
- Attention to detail with delivery paperwork, stock control and documentation.
- Forklift experience and warehousing exposure will be highly regarded.
- A practical, reliable and team-focused approach. Licences and Qualifications:
- Current HR Class Driver’s Licence (essential)
- Forklift Licence
