The **Quality Assurance Inspector** will be responsible for undertaking inspections and investigations on industrial, commercial, civil, and domestic installations in line with the Gas Inspection program to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations and gas installation standards.

**About the role**
- Undertakes inspections on capital works carried out on the gas distribution system by contractors and internal workforce ensuring compliance with technical and operational standards and regulations. This includes attending sites and undertaking audits and inspections of construction work related to: _Construction Completions; Operational Commissioning; Notices of Non-conformance or Rectification; Variation Claims; Contractor Invoicing, and Gas Mains, Service Routes and Meter Positions._
- Liaises with contractors and internal workforce to provide assistance and expert technical advice with design, construction fault finding and problem-solving issues as it relates to gas distribution capital works.
- Undertakes investigations into construction-related incidents and produces detailed reports on investigation outcomes within required timeframes.
- Provides input and advice on network improvement opportunities and recommendations through Technical Services.
- Develops and fosters relationships, networks and alliances with contractors, consultants, government agencies to deliver optimal and safe outcomes.
- Represents ATCO Gas Australia in consultation with Building & Energy on Distribution and Gas Installation Regulations, including identified breaches and other industry related issues.
**What we are looking for**
If you have experience in at least five of the following, we can help you with the remaining.
- Certificate III in Gas Operations desirable
- G Class Gas-fitting Licence desirable
- Considerable technical knowledge of gas industry regulations coupled with significant experience in industrial, commercial, and civil construction.
- Good computer skills, including the ability to utilise a range of information systems (MS Office & SAP desirable)
- Well-developed communication skills (oral and written), including the ability to influence and build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Demonstrated organizational skills to efficiently manage tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and streamline processes in our fast-paced work environment
- Proven commercial acumen with the ability to think strategically, exercise judgement and influence decision-making
- Current C Class Drivers Licence.
